Creative Commons

I found this article very interesting, http://www.rss-specifications.com/creative-commons.htm. I think that creative commons is a very interesting organization, and their innovation is well received on the web. I think that by making the copyright something that exists in grey areas rather than a black or white law, makes material or whatever a publisher has created more accessible and viewable by the public. I think that this is the next natural progression in this area, and I think that as the cloud becomes more powerful and comprehensive you will find many laws changing or you will find innovative change such as this.

  1. With cloud computing and group editing, it does make sense to have a creative commons license to share ideas within and from documents with the ease for finding permission to use them for commercial or noncommercial projects.

  2. I agree that laws will have to change as technology changes. People will too. The availibilty of anyone to see what we put out there should make people be more careful.

  3. Would you ever use Creative Commons? I also found it very interesting and I had never heard of it before. I like the different options.

  4. Of course CC is a grass-roots convention rather than one that has be legislated, that's pretty impressive too.
